When the going gets tough, escape is the best option
(Please view the fox ears and tail as nonexistent, I really liked this picture~ ^_^ )
Personal[/u]
Full Name: Suen-Yeung.[/u]
Gender: Male.
Age: 20.
Element: Fire.
Alignment: Fire Nation.
Location: Fire Fountain City.
Appearance:
Suen-Yeung has short white hair despite being from fire nation descent. He has a slightly muscular but slender stature. His eyes are silver in colour and have red markings outlining them. He stands at 5’9” and weighs 119lbs, with a pale complexion and further red markings on his face. He prefers people not knowing which element he possesses, so too avoid that hassle he just wears a simple white top bordered with red and black pants with sandals (As shown in image above ^_^). He also sometimes wears a dǒulì, especially during his travels. His pipa is attached to his back by a strap.
Personality:
Suen-Yeung is a complete glutton and lazy above everything else. He hates participating in activities which involves too much physical movement, like training or sparring. But, if attacked enough, he “tries” to pull his weight and fight back. Rude, selfish and always unmotivated, he only cares for himself (and his boar). He’s also childish, disrespectful and vulgar in speech and nature. Because of his illiteracy, he’s prone to getting lost. Though he’s viewed as a negative person, his negativity can sometimes be his sign of kindness.
Hobbies:
- Over eating.
- Travelling. (Whilst sitting on his boar)
- Grooming his pet boar (Pork chop, the large white boar shown in image above).
- Talking to his boar.
- Leaving restaurants without paying.
- Busking.
- Playing his Pipa.
- Laying down aimlessly in quiet places.
History:
Suen-Yeung came from a family with a lineage of tea masters. Back in his hometown – Jang Hui – his family runs a teahouse, which had been in business for generations. His grandfather strived to bring his family up in the ways of Chayi (The Art of Tea), rather than perfecting their fire bending. He believed that fire bending should be used for the sake of tea instead of battle. Suen-Yeung was the only one out of his 3 siblings who had no interest in pursuing Chayi. He lacked the talent for it anyways, so was left to do as he pleases or he would only cost them customers. Being left alone was how he developed his lazy streak. At the age of 8, he discovered he had an ear for music, so took up playing the pipa. His family used this to their advantage and made him perform for customers, to boost the business’s sales.
Him and his siblings never got the chance to attend school, since his family was too busy with the business and needed every helping hand they could get. Despite this, his siblings made the effort to self study but Suen-Yeung, having a lazy nature, decided not to. This resulted in him lacking the ability to read and write. At the age of 11, he no longer had any use to the business and was only proving to be a nuisance. So, he left the family, hoping he could make a living from playing the pipa. He wanted to prove to them that there is more to life than just tea.
During his travels, he met a fellow busker and firebender, an old woman with a pet boar. Since they were both making no progress, she suggested they combine their acts to haul more money in. It surprisingly worked to their expectations. The old woman, regardless of her age, was rambunctious, care-free and loved to eat above all things. Which Suen-Yeung eventually became hooked onto. She also trained him and taught him more fire bending techniques, despite his complaints. They travelled together for many years after that, busking in different locations and trying out different restaurants. Suen-Yeung grew attached to her and her pet – Pork chop – and also picked up some habits of hers along the way. When Suen-Yeung reached 18 years, the old woman who grew weaker over the years finally could live no longer. Before she parted with him, she told him of how she wanted to eat at every restaurant in all the different nations. He wanted to fulfill her wish, so carried on her dream, believing her soul can truly rest in peace after achieving it.
