Now that the RPG has opened, the staff is looking looking to brainstorm with bending ability. As it stands there are only around 5 Basics, 3-5 Advanced, and 3 Master Bending techniques. This simply won't do!
So let's start brainstorming past the cannon techniques and make some of our own abilities specifically for Element Memories! What do you say? Post here using the code below and your bending technique may be available for your character in the future.

WIP Smokescreen Difficulty: Advanced Description: Using this technique, a firebender is able to exhale a large amount of smoke from his or her mouth and/or nose. This can be used to create a large cover for a quick getaway, though it will make breathing difficult for all those inside of it. Aside from the exhalation of the smoke and creation of a smokescreen, the smoke cannot be controlled. Limit: Exclusive to Firebenders [/size] Flame Redirection Difficulty: Master Description: This is a defensive maneuver which takes blocking fire to the next level and allows it's redirection. Doing a variety of movements, the user of this technique will capture flames being thrown at them and redirect them however he or she sees fit. Limit: Exclusive to Firebenders [/size] Dance of Dragon Difficulty: Advanced Description: With this technique, the user can make their fire take the shape of a serpentine dragon flying through the air. They most focus on maintaining the shape and must maintain movement in order to keep the dragon of flames in existence. This technique is used commonly in the Fire Nation for entertainment purposes. However, it is not much stronger than ordinary fire techniques when used as an attack. Despite this, the creation of a large flame dragon can still be very intimidating to opponents. Healing Hands Difficulty: Advanced Description: A Water Bender can utilize water for healing purposes as well. First hovering water over and onto a person's injuries, a Water Bender who knows how to use their abilities to heal can then concentrate in order to soothe a person's wounds. Recent burns can be healed by this method, cuts and scraps, sometimes bigger stab wounds as well. If a person's chi is blocked, this ability can also help with that, as well as heal certain diseases and sicknesses. Limit: Exclusive to Water Benders [/size] Plantbending Difficulty: Advanced Description: A Water Bender who lives near a lot of plants and swamp, as opposed to a lot of ice or water, has to learn to improvise. Drawing water from plants is one thing that can be done with this ability, water that can then be used for bending in situations where there is no other available water source. But this ability can also be used to actually bend the water inside of plants, thus controlling the movements of the plants. Limit: Exclusive to Water Benders [/size] Streaming Sand Difficulty: Basic Description: An Earth Bender can manipulate sand in a way that resembles waterbending or airbending more than it does earthbending. The Earth Bender can move the sand around his body the same way a Water Bender might perform the Water Streaming move. This skill can be used in order to manipulate the sand into a quick shield in front of the user to deflect an incoming attack. Limit: Exclusive to Earth Benders [/size]

Ice Beast Difficulty: Master Description: Using water manipulation, the bender forms a large being, often times resembling a native animal, and freeze it over, causing the ice to keep its form. The water bender is then able to bend the ice to make it seem as though the ice being is moving on its own. This technique uses a lot of concentration, and the bender is unable to use any other techniques until the Ice Beast has either melted or been destroyed. Benders use this to deal a heavy amount of destruction and damage. Limit: Exclusive to Water Benders. [/size] Hail Storm Difficulty: Advanced Description: Using the moisture from the air, water benders can form huge clouds to produce hail. The size of the hail depends on how much experience the bender has with the technique, and they generally range from a centimeter in circumference to the size of a pear. Used for causing damage to enemy land and property. Limit: Exclusive to Water Benders. [/size] Ice Discs Difficulty: Advanced Description: A water bender can create a cylindrical column of ice and proceed to slice razor-sharp sections of it off and send them at an opponent. They are sharp around the edges but all very thin. Limit: Exclusive to Water Benders. [/size] Breath of Ice Difficulty: Advanced Description: A water bender can use their breath to rapidly freeze objects, such as metallic chains, or an opponent. For a more advanced version of the technique, the user takes a deep breath and exhales the air as a cloud of freezing mist. Limit: Exclusive to Water Benders. [/size] Water Filtering Difficulty: Advanced Description: When working in concert with an earth bender, a Water bender can purify polluted water. The Water bender suspends the polluted water in the air while the Earth bender removes the pollutants. Limit: Exclusive to Water Benders with the help of Earth Benders. [/size] Bubble Difficulty: Master Description: When in need to cross large bodies of water, capable Water benders are able to create a bubble around themselves, keeping an air supply for them and for others. Limit: Exclusive to Water Benders. [/size] Water Drill Difficulty: Master Description: A high-pressure, rotating column of water. Capable of exerting a significant amount of pressure upon a solid surface, that allows the action of a drill. The move takes mastery of Water bending since the motions to create a constantly twisting body of water takes bending skill. Limit: Exclusive to Water Benders. Here are my custom techniques to gain 60 Chi
Earth Pillars Difficulty: Advanced Description: This technique allows the Earth Bender create a rock pillars that will protrude from the ground to bring the target off balance. The rock pillars will pass through an obstacle, like a house, to reach their target. It may also raise the user if used underneath them. Limit: Exclusive to Earth Benders
Jagged Earth Difficulty: Master Description: A mastered variant of Earth Pillars. The predecessor of this technique was used to raise the target while this technique skewers them. The master is so capable in their Earth Bending that they may condense the earth into a sharp point, creating giant spike from under the enemy. Limit: Esclusive to Earth Benders
Dragon’s Breath Difficulty: Master Description: When targeting an enemy the Fire Bender may used Dragon’s Breath to eject fire from their mouth and project a cone of fire towards the enemy. This is a very powerful technique, intimidating enough that it may possibly disorient the enemy. Limit: Exclusive to Fire Benders
Combustion Difficulty: Basic, Advanced, or Master Description: A technique used by the Fire Nation, compositions allows the Fire Bender to coat their body in flames. This not makes them nearly impossible to attack directly, but also increasing the power of their fire technique hereafter. Limit: Exclusive to Fire Benders
Blizzard Difficulty: Master Description: In conjunction with an Air Bender, the Water Bender may create a Blizzard. This severe snowstorm is characterized by strong winds and the strength of the wind may be devastating to not just an enemy, but maybe even an entire town. Limit: Exclusive to Water Benders
Icey Veins Difficulty: Advanced Description: This is an advanced technique where the Water Bender cools their body to an intensified degree, which allows them to freeze liquid material at a faster rate. This supplementary ability will make their ice-relate techniques more effective. Limit: Exlusive to Water Benders

Everyone, there is 5 more days until this contest ends. Granted you can still submit custom bending ability, but will not receive the benefit of 10 Chi per technique. So just giving everyone a heads up that if they have any techniques they'd like to submit, do it soon. There may be a reward for submissions for the future, but they will not be this good.

Fire Fists Difficulty: Basic Description: The Fire Bender surges up a flame in both palms. Then clenching their hands into fists, the flame spreads over them. They can then engage in hand-to-hand combat with their adversary. Though this technique is limited to close range attacks, it can be easily altered into fire balls or fire streams. So therefore useful for switching techniques when the enemy reveals an opening. Limit: Exclusive to Fire Benders [/size] Bonfire Difficulty: Advanced Description: A brief technique used for escape or a temporary advantage of throwing off an opponent. The bender ignites a small but swift flame by snapping their fingers together, which erupts into a burst of fire sparks. The high intensity of light emitted temporarily blinds the opponent, creating an opening or chance to escape. Limit: Exclusive to Fire Benders [/size] Flight of the Fireflies Difficulty: Advanced Description: Manipulating a basic fire bomb, the Fire Bender can use the technique to a greater degree. The user discharges a fire ball, which keeps splitting into recurring smaller balls of flame as it travels towards the target. The flames collect oxygen along the way, augmenting the balls of flame and also causing them to accelerate. It explodes when coming in contact with a solid object. The bombs stop forming when the fire balls become too small to divide. It's not a very reliable attack but can be very damaging if the enemy is hit by a multiple amount of bombs. Limit: Exclusive to Fire Benders [/size] Arachnids nest Difficulty: Master Description: The user channels chi through their legs and out from beneath their feet in fire streams. The fire spreads along the ground in lines, splitting into tributaries at certain points. The lines of fire join together in network of flames, resembling the shape of a spider's web. Unfortunately the controller is immobilized during this technique, but can decide when to cause the flames to rise up and explode at different points, series or all at once. Limit: Exclusive to Fire Benders [/size] Dancing Inferno Difficulty: Master Description: A very hard technique which requires both full concentration, stamina and strength. The master conjures flames from either their palms or feet as they spin. The flames form into a fire tornado, growing in height and volume the faster the bender spins. When reaching its peak, the fire bender halts abruptly within its core and pushes against the flames with their palms (or feet). This action disperses the flames in fast and huge swirling spirals around them. The technique can also be aerial. This technique is normally used when facing multiple foes. Limit: Exclusive to Fire Benders [/size]

Earth Dome Difficulty: Advanced, Master Description: By focusing Chi to their palms and fingertips, an Earthbender is capable of pulling the ground from beneath in order to create a large, hollow semi-sphere of rigid stone for defensive purposes. Advance Domes will withstand basic techniques with some ease, but will begin to crumble when faced with more powerful attacks and will shatter at once again Master ranked attacks. Master Domes are even larger and are next to impenetrable but creation time is long and requires a great amount of chi to maintain. Limit: Exclusive to Earthbenders [/size] Earth Dome: Imprisonment Difficulty: Advance Description: Like wise, it is possible to pull the earth from beneath the feet of the opponents, encasing them within the same stone semi-sphere. In order to maintain the sphere, the user must keep their palms against the walls, evenly spreading Chi throughout. Once the spread of Chi around the walls is disrupted, the Stone will become brittle and can be broken through. Limit: Exclusive to Earthbenders; Must have the knowledge to create at least Advance Ranked Earth Dome.
[/size] Stalactite Difficulty: Advance, Master Description: By focusing Chi into the up most part of the dome, the user may be able to force-grow sharp, needle like stalactites. Uneven distribution of Chi to the sides of the semi-sphere allow the possibility of breaking through the Dome. A few of the canon moves airbenders are lacking are...
Air Funnel Difficulty: Basic Description: Similar to an air vortex but to a smaller scale. With this technique, can effectively create a small cannon by creating a small air funnel. Small rock projectiles and other suitable objects can be dropped into the top of the funnel, which are then fired out of the opposite end, in whatever direction the airbender has aimed it toward. Limit: Exclusive to Airbenders Enhanced Speed Difficulty: Advanced Description: Airbenders enhance their movement in battle; they can run swiftly by decreasing air resistance around them and even sprint across or run up vertical surfaces by generating a wind current behind themselves to propel them forward. When used by a skilled Airbender, this technique can enable the Airbender using it to travel at a speed almost too swift for the naked eye to be able to see properly. A master Airbender can use this technique to briefly run across water. Limit: Exclusive to Airbenders [/size] Enhanced Agility Difficulty: Advanced Description: Air movements can also be used as a levitation aid. Airbenders jump high and far by riding on strong gusts of wind and can slow or deflect falls by creating cushions of air. The constant movement required by this art makes airbenders naturally flexible and agile. Even without bending they can easily maneuver around an opponent by ducking, jumping, and side stepping, appearing to flow around their opponents without expending any energy at all, letting the opponent tire themselves out and thus creating exploitable openings. Blades of the North Difficulty: Advanced Description: An offensive tactic with many variations. By warping the air the bender focuses on hyper condensing wind and funneling it through the hands. The pressurized air is then mentally formed into a blade, disk or other weapon. Because of the constant pressure the air is capable of ripping through objects with the same force of a blade. Limit: Restricted to Airbenders [/size]
