 It is the era of Avatar Roku.
He who has mastered the four elements in his youth, Roku has served diligently as the guiding force to bring peace to this world and the years past have embodied his success in balancing the Four Great Nations. Prosperity is the best word to describe each nation’s condition and war is but a fleeting scenario of the past. In this time, the art of Bending is greatly encouraged and flourishes across the world. Time has made it possible for Bending Masters to become a common element within each nation, making it possible for the lands to defend for themselves independently.
Roku surveys the state of the world and is pleased; believing that now would be the best time to master The Avatar State. It is in this state that the Avatar is most powerful and may channel an immense amount of cosmic energy and knowledge from preceding Avatars to himself. This will allow Roku to protect the world at an even greater degree in hopes to keep the four nations at peace.
Roku recognizes that time will inevitably repeat itself and war will transpire in the future. It is for this reason that Avatar Roku must gain The Avatar State in hopes that peace may be held on to for as long as he remains The Avatar. So he works under the guidance of the Fire Sage Shyu to become the greatest guardian he can be. The young Fire Sage maintains a watchful eye on the great Avatar, making sure he does not push his limits too swiftly. There are difficulties throughout the process, but Avatar Roku soon discovers patience and enlightenment from his Avatar ancestry.
As the Avatar meditates on Crescent Island, mastering the Avatar State, Fire Lord Sozin initiates a new plan that will forever change the world. Sozin wishes the four nations to live under a single-banner under his rule. Avatar Roku recognizes Sozin as his best friend and history denotes him a good person in Roku’s eyes. However, little does Avatar Roku understand The Fire Lord’s newly developed malice and destructive capabilities. Sozin hopes to use The Avatar for his own will in order to rule the world.
