In order to acquire a Earth Bending technique, you must possess the necessary amount of spendable Chi and have the specified difficulty of that technique. This thread essentially acts as a progression center for Earth Benders to acquire more techniques once they have enough Chi accumulated. When you have allocated enough Chi for a specific Earth Bending Technique, you may post here and spend the Chi on the ability you would like.

I will spend 100 Chi to gain the Quicksand Ability.
Quicksand
Difficulty: Basic
Description: The Earth Bender may dissipate the earth below their opponent to turn the ground into quicksand in hopes to immobilize an enemy, or to create a soft landing for themselves should they fall from a height. Earth Benders can also do the reverse of this, compacting sand together to create harder projectiles or a firmer grip on the ground.

Rock Shield
Difficulty: Basic
Description: The Earth Benders of the world are naturally defensive, making it no surprised that the first ability they may learn is a rock shield. A levitated slab of rock can also double as a shield when positioned in front of a bender. This can also be performed with a slab or sheet of bedrock thrust out of the earth's surface. The shield can be hurled at the opponent for a quick retaliation.

Rock Projectiles
Difficulty: Basic
Description: A very basic technique; the Earth Bender may grasp a multitude of small rocks to send them flying at their opponent. This technique is more useful as a distraction over an actual attack and may leave the opponent open or give the Earth Bender time to come up with a new strategy during combat.
